The Ask

Skateboarding culture thrives on individuality, creativity, and vibrancy. The challenge was to develop a brand identity for a new skateboard line that resonates with young, dynamic audiences. The goal was to create a visually engaging brand that fuses skateboarding's adventurous spirit with anime-inspired artistry, aligning closely with the tastes of the target demographic.

The Learnings

Creating the Kawaii Kick brand identity, inspired by Japanese themes and anime (particularly Spy x Family), deepened my understanding of blending creativity with audience appeal. I explored various blend and gradient techniques in Illustrator, which helped me design visuals that reflect the brand’s vibrant and playful personality. This project reinforced the importance of self-expression and understanding the target audience in branding. The experience improved my technical skills and taught me how to infuse adventurous spirit into designs, valuable lessons I’ll carry forward in my graphic design work.
