The Learnings

I had an excellent experience using Figma, which really expanded my knowledge of designing for small screens, particularly mobile apps. One of the key takeaways was realizing how crucial it is to develop a robust design system. This approach helped me streamline my work and made the whole design process much more efficient.

I discovered that prioritizing user experience plays a vital role in my designs. For small screens, I opt for clear, easy-to-read sans-serif fonts. I pay close attention to the sizes of various design elements, such as icons, headers, and footers, as well as the font sizes and weights. Additionally, I ensure that my colour choices provide good contrast to comply with AODA guidelines.
