Website Redesign

The Ask

The project aimed to improve the user experience of the Mean Bao website by researching user needs and actions.

The redesigned website focuses on helping users order quickly and efficiently. It improves site functionality and navigation, removes the need for third-party apps, and shows transparent pricing. This makes online ordering smoother during busy times. By following a user flow that fits a busy lifestyle, the redesign simplifies ordering and reduces wait times.

Design Rationale

Redesigning the Mean Bao website will make ordering fast and easy for Gina. Adding a direct order-ahead feature will address current issues, like not showing prices and reliance on third-party apps. This will let Gina place orders during busy hours and avoid long lines.

The site will include helpful features like saved favourite orders, one-tap checkout, and real-time updates.

The design will use the Raleway typeface and BigNoodleTitling for a clean look, with proper alignment for easy navigation. Subtle red and dark green accents will match Mean Bao's brand identity.

The Learnings

This project showed me how important it is to be consistent and efficient when using Figma components. I learned that reusable elements make design easier, keep everything uniform, and simplify updates. This approach helps improve workflow and teamwork.
